What is the FLUX MCP?
Last updated: June 12, 2026
The FLUX MCP server lets you generate, edit, and browse FLUX.2 images directly inside MCP-compatible apps like Claude, Cursor, Codex, and Windsurf, without writing API code or pasting keys into the chat.
How to connect
Most clients connect to the server URL https://mcp.bfl.ai and handle sign-in automatically. For example, in Claude open Settings, then Connectors, add a custom connector named FLUX with that URL, and click Connect. In Claude Code, run claude mcp add --transport http FLUX https://mcp.bfl.ai.
On first use a browser opens for you to sign in with your BFL account and choose which organization is billed. The MCP setup guide has step-by-step instructions for each client, including a fallback for clients that do not handle OAuth on their own.
What you can do
Generate one or several images from a prompt, edit an attached image, create variations of a result you like, and browse your recent generations. All FLUX.2 models are available.
How it is billed
You pay BFL directly. The organization you select during sign-in is billed for generated images, at the same rates as the API (see bfl.ai/pricing). To change the billed organization, disconnect the connector and reconnect it.
