How does FLUX licensing work?
Last updated: June 12, 2026
Licensing Overview
License FLUX model weights and deploy on your own infrastructure for full control over performance, data, and integration. Every license includes fine-tuning and LoRA rights.
Not sure you need to self-host? The simplest way to use FLUX commercially is through our API, where all usage includes full commercial rights with no separate license. Get started with the API.
Licensing tiers
Choose the tier that matches how you ship:
Tier | Best for | Models | Volume |
Builder | Developers and early-stage teams | FLUX.2 [klein] models | 10K images/mo, 1 domain |
Platform | Product teams shipping at volume | FLUX.2 [klein] Base 9B + FLUX.2 [dev] | 100K images/mo, 1 domain |
Professional | Agencies and service providers | FLUX.2 [dev] | 100K images/mo, up to 3 clients |
Enterprise | Custom requirements at scale | All models + new releases | Custom volume |
All tiers include 10 licensed users, fine-tuning and LoRA rights, and additional models available as add-ons.
How to get a license
Builder is self-serve: purchase directly from the Licensing page in your dashboard.
For Platform, Professional, and Enterprise, contact our sales team to discuss volume, commercial terms, and deployment support.
Synthetic data
Training models on FLUX outputs needs a separate Synthetic Data license, which grants explicit rights to train on outputs for your contracted use case. Contact sales for details.
Open-weights licenses (running locally without a paid license)
If you run open-weights models yourself, the license depends on the model:
Model | Open weights | License |
FLUX.2 [klein] 4B | Yes (Hugging Face) | Apache 2.0: free commercial use, no license needed |
FLUX.2 [klein] 9B | Yes | FLUX Non-Commercial: commercial license required |
FLUX.2 [dev] | Yes | FLUX Non-Commercial: commercial license required |
FLUX.1 Kontext [dev] | Yes | FLUX Non-Commercial: commercial license required |
FLUX.1 [dev] | Yes | FLUX Non-Commercial: commercial license required |
